The Difference Between CBD and XYZ: One Beginner’s Guide

As someone who has struggled with extreme anxiety for years, I’ve constantly had trouble finding the right solution. I knew that the “quick fix” anti-depressant or sedative wasn’t the answer for me. Actually, more often than not, I felt that such an alternative would only lead to more serious problems down the road. So, like many people I know, I have been trying to suppress my stress in other more conventional ways such as meditating, no social media, melatonin, etc. They have all helped me cope, but that ball of stress that sits like a rock in my stomach was still very much there.

But, with a stroke of luck, I was accidentally introduced to CBD a few months ago by a friend and found that my body had finally caught the break it truly needed! What I felt was a non-invasive, subtle, yet, nonetheless, observable sense of calm in both my mind and body. I felt relaxed. Clear. That everything was going to be ok. As someone who gets freaked out about losing control on prescriptions or other substances, this alternative was priceless!

So, at this point, you might be wondering what CBD even is? CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which is one out of 100+ different active cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. In my experience, CBD has had no psychoactive effects on me and purely affects my state of being in a very soothing way. Especially after a long day at work, CBD has become a very therapeutic way for me to “unwind”. Even on the weekends, I now find myself putting it in my pregame cocktail to loosen up. Naturally, as I began to use CBD more, I decided to do some research. According to an article in the Journal of Experimental Medicine, I found that studies conducted on the health benefits of CBD have yielded numerous positive results. While these benefits have not been confirmed by FDA-approved research, my positive experience with CBD has very much validated the benefits for me to live a CBD-oriented lifestyle. To my excitement, I also learned that CBD can be ingested in multiple forms. This has afforded me extensive versatility in using CBD through a variety of different products such as hand salve, olive oil, tincture, makeup, shampoo, and kombucha to help me feel like a better version of myself.

Looking back, having taken CBD daily for the last 2-3 months, I have noticed a tremendous difference in my overall mood including reduced anxiety, better night’s sleeps, and skin complexion. As someone who has had trouble shaking the adult acne, I’d be lying if I did not admit that this was a huge plus.

With all the immense benefits CBD has brought to my life, I’ve become very impassioned with its potential to do good. Our world could use more good and, therefore, I am excited to say that I have joined the CBD movement with White Label CBD.
